Hi, I’m Sam, the founder of Lux Build.
I was raised in Whyteleafe and now live in Caterham on the Hill with my wife and our three young children. Having grown up and built my life in the local area, I know Surrey and the surrounding communities extremely well, and I’m proud to help homeowners transform their properties into spaces they truly love.
My journey into the building trade began when I left East Surrey College in 2009 after qualifying in Electrical Installation. From there, I spent three years working for a local builder, learning the trade, gaining hands-on experience, and developing the skills that would eventually allow me to start my own business.
After three years in the industry, I took the leap and began working for myself. Nearly 14 years later, I’ve built a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail. Over the years, I’ve developed a wide range of skills across multiple trades, allowing me to manage and complete many aspects of a renovation project myself, while also working alongside a small network of trusted specialists when required.
I specialise in kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, as well as wider home renovation projects, and I genuinely enjoy seeing a space transformed from start to finish. There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking a client’s vision and bringing it to life through hard work, craftsmanship, and careful planning.
As a husband, father, and business owner, I understand the importance of trust when inviting someone into your home. That’s why I treat every project as if it were my own, taking pride in delivering a high standard of work and maintaining clear communication throughout.
I love the focus and escapism that my work brings each day, and I’m passionate about creating finished spaces that both I and my clients can be proud of. No matter the size of the project, attention to detail remains at the heart of everything I do.
